No Akshay Kumar in Vipul Shah's next film
Vipul Shah's next production to be directed by Sangeeth Sivan (Kya Kool Hai Hum & Apna Sapna Money Money) will not have his favourite actor Akshay Kumar. Confirming the news, Sangeeth Sivan said, "I am supposed to do a film for Vipul which won't have Akshay in the film."
Akshay Kumar's association with director Vipul Shah had begun with Shah's first directorial venture Aankhen (2002). After the success of the film, the actor was seen in Shah's next two films Waqt (2005) and Namaste London (2007). Vipul had once said that he would prefer to work with Akshay in all his films because of his professionalism, discipline, hardwork and that fact that he is a good actor.
Their professional friendship over these three films spilled into a personal bond. Quite often they have been spotted having a meal with their families at a suburban five-star hotel.
Dinners apart, the fact is that Akshay will not be seen in Shah's film with Sangeeth Sivan. Speaking about the film, Sivan says, "I haven't yet decided what kind of film I will make but it will not be a comedy. I will start work on it after my EK, an action film, with Nana Patekar, Bobby Deol and Shreya Saran releases on August 31."
Of course all will say that khiladi Kumar did not suit the role. Despite repeated smses and calls, Vipul Shah was unavailable for comments since he was in a meeting.
