SRK's special song shot for Chak De… to be shown with Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India's special five-and-a-half minute promotional song shot in a music video format will be shown with Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The shooting of the promotional video number was completed last month and will be shown to the audience before JBJ begins or during its interval.
Our Yash Raj source tells us, "It will be a first in Bollywood that a special song has been created as a first trailer of the film to introduce its main characters and the film's theme. Shimit Amin-directed Chak De India's only big star is the King Khan. The sports themed film's remaining cast comprises of newcomers and lesser known starlets like Neetu Chandra and Vidya Malavade, who plays SRK's love interest in the film. SRK plays a hockey coach, who guides the Indian Women's team to glory. The first look of CDI features girls from the hockey team in the film with the Badshah Khan."
Speaking on behalf of its producers, Yash Raj Films spokesperson, Monika Bhattacharya states, "A special Chak De India music video will feature Shah Rukh Khan and the girls of the hockey team during the show of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Shah Rukh will be introducing the girls."
It has been reported that SRK also has a special appearance in the Abhishek-Preity-Bobby-Lara starrer and Shaad Ali-directed JBJ. If that isn't true then his fans won't be disappointed because at least they will get to watch him in the CDI song.
Promos Barabar Jhoom
Yash Raj has always followed the trend of introducing the first official trailer of their forthcoming films with ones they have produced or distributed since last four years. This started when the Dhoom trailer with shown Hum Tum (2004), then during Hum Tum they showed the first promo of Veer Zaara (2004) and during Veer Zaara, Bunty Aur Babli (2005) was showcased to the viewers.
With the Big B - Abhishek - Rani starrer fans got to see the Salaam Namaste promo and along with the Saif - Preity starrer, they were exposed to the trailers of Neal N Nikki (2005). During Neal N Nikki one got to see, Fanaa's promo and with Fanaa (2006) one saw the Yash Raj-distributed and Karan Johar-directed multistarrer Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna promo.
With KANK one got to see some Dhoom 2 action, which created a great buzz for the film. Dhoom 2 (2006) did not carry any promos but Yash Raj's last release Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007) carried Jhoom Barabar Jhoom promo. Now with Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, which will hit the big screen on June 15, they are restarting their trend of exciting the viewers with a teaser of CDI, which releases on 10th August.
