Salman turning Balwan Khan
Salman Khan nowadays is busy toning up his physique, preparing for his role in the Pokiri remake to be produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Prabhu Deva. Salman was last seen in an out and out action role in Garv which had released three years back. Now to get back in shape for doing many onscreen action scenes the controversial Khan has once again concentrated on getting his body in the perfect shape.
Our source close to Salman says, "Salman has been dedicatedly working out for past few weeks in his private gym. He has got so passionate about it that he is also advising his near and dear ones about the benefits of working out and keeping oneself in shape. He is getting his other close actor pals to work out with him too."
Boney Kapoor, Producer of Salman's film tells us, "My film with Salman starts from June. Salman will be presented in a tough guy image. He is working hard on his body for that. He has always been loved by his fans in that image in his previous films."
The original Telugu version maker had Ayesha Takia in his mind for the heroine's role but had settled for Ileana, a south starlet. Boney too is keen on taking Ayesha. He says, "Ayesha is a good actress. We are in talks but no one has been signed yet. I am basically looking out for someone who has never been cast opposite Salman before."
Pokiri
The film was about an undercover police officer played by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu (Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar's hubby). The police officer acts as a ruthless mafia worker called Pandu and kills people for money. He falls in love with a beautiful aerobic teacher Shruti. He joins the mafia gang of Ali and wages a war against him. How he wins his war and his true identity form is what the rest of the movie was all about. The film was famous for its line which the hero mouths to a corrupt police officer played by Ashish Vidyarthi, "Your dad should have used a condom. You were born for nothing."
Pokiri is the biggest blockbuster of Telugu cinema.
