Taxi No. 9211
Director: Milan Luthria

Producer: Ramesh Sippy

Cast: Nana Patekar, John Abraham, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sameera Reddy, Sonali Kulkarni

This is a strict warning for all those who venture into a cinema hall to watch Taxi No. 9211 - 'There is a strong possibility that you will fall off your chair laughing!'

This unconventional and entertaining film is a treat to all those people who love to watch original plots!

The story moves fast and the film takes us through the two sides of a coin, two halves in a day, two ways to look at life and two guys in the story.

Raghu (Nana Patekar), an insurance salesperson-turned taxi driver and Jai (John Abraham), the son of a wealthy business family, are two citizens of Mumbai, who live in two different worlds. Their paths cross one day when Jai steps into Raghu's cab.

Raghav Shastri needs thirty thousand rupees by the end of the day and Jai Mittal, heir to a resourceful business family, needs three hundred crores by the end of the day. Jai needs to contest his father's will in court and Raghu's cab to get there. Raghu needs every rich passenger to earn his money...

The film covers a period of 24 hours in the lives of Nana and John. It takes you on a roller-coaster journey of fun, thrill and suspense, which ends in a very interesting climax. Yeah! You heard it right, climax is superb. Unlike, some of the recent films released in Bollywood where climax leaves with much to be desired.

Taxi No. 9211 belongs to Nana Patekar and John. The actors goes on a rampage and deliver their best performances.

Milan Luthria has done full justice to this film after directing the critically acclaimed prisoners of war drama Deewar that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. The film has cinematography by the LA based Kartik Vijay who makes his Hindi film debut here and what a good debut it turned out to be! Vishal Shekhar who gave us the foot tapping numbers for Dus and Bluffmaster have scored the music.

Taxi No. 9211 has a an entertaining collection of situational tracks. Bekhudi, Ek Nazar Mein Bhi, Moombai Nagariya and Meter Down are the songs that make Taxi No. 9211 an enjoyable album.

Dev Kohli has penned the lyrics and the songs sung by the talented Adnan Sami. The quintessential Disco King Bappi Lahiri has sung the catchy number Mumbai Nagariya and this is for the first time that Bappi has sung for another music director.

On the whole, Taxi no 9211 is a thoroughly enjoyable entertainer. It has sure hit the bull's eye!
