Penguins, A Love Story Penguins, A Love Story: Heartwarming

indya.com rating: 3 out of 5

Narration: Amitabh Bachchan

Director: Luc Jacquet

Penguins, A Love Story is an Oscar winning tale of love and survival shot in the icy deserts of Antarctica. It is a remarkable and heart warming story of the laborious journey that Penguins undertake each winter for the survival of their young ones. This documentary tells the story of one year in the life of an emperor penguin flock and one couple in particular, as they trek across the Antarctic on an annual journey that invokes just about every major life experience, from birth to death, from dating to mating, from comedy to tragedy, and from love to fighting for survival. Big B's flawless narration carries certain warmth and emotion, which makes it an amazing experience altogether. The original version had voice over by Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman and Bachchan's deep baritone voice in comparison to his emerges a clear winner.

Penguins, A Love Story Those who enjoyed the Oscar winner animated film, released last Christmas, Happy Feet, would certainly relish this one as its actually shows the Penguins journey and much more, in real. In its 85 minutes running time it shows us an entire new world we never knew existed. As you watch the Penguins journey unfold you gradually become a part of them and share their emotions of joy and sadness alike. The makers need to be lauded for spending 7 years in making this one as authentic as possible. Definitely worth a cool trip this summer.
