Priyanshu Priyanshu copying young Bachchan's style for Bhootnath

Priyanshu Chatterjee, who plays Amitabh Bachchan's son in the film Bhootnath, is working real hard to match the Big B by watching DVDs of his old films. "The idea was suggested to me by the director of the film Vivek Sharma," reveals Priyanshu.

"I play a young rebellious boy in Bhootnath, who is the son of Amitabh Bachchan. So my director wanted my body language to be similar to the young Bachchan. I saw Majboor and Don and I have just bought the DVD of Namak Halal - some of Bachchan's films noticed for his style. But I did not take everything out of them. There are also changes made by the director on the sets as per the demand of the scene."

It's said that new actors often copy senior stars. But Priyanshu is least bothered about these allegations. "It's obvious that people will say I have copied Big B and I will not deny it. I have to play his son in the film and I am doing what the role demands."

Priyanshu accepts that it is going to be very difficult for him to match Bachchan's voice but the one similarity they do share is height. "My main emphasis is to capture his body language since our heights are quite similar. There is a lot of depth in his voice which I may not be able to match."

Bhootnath is a tale of friendship between a mischievous child and a troubled ghost. Apart from Bhootnath, Priyanshu Chatterjee is also doing Sanjay Gupta's next film Alibaug.
