Now Nana and Sanjay Gupta get emotional about Dus Kahaniyaan
After Suneil Shetty broke down in real while filming an emotional scene with Sanjay Dutt for Sanjay Gupta's Dus Kahaniyan, it was tough guy Nana Patekar's turn along with Gupta himself this time. Sanjay Gupta is directing four out of ten short stories for his Dus Kahaniyan. As soon as a special screening of Gubbare, the short story directed by Gupta starring Nana ended, both were seen in tears.
A friend close to the whimsical actor, present at the screening tells us, "In Gubbare , Nana plays the character of a stranger in a bus, who brings together a young bickering couple played by Sammir Dattani and TV starlet Natassha. He is shown carrying a set of balloons with him for his beloved which is why the film is titled so. In real life, both Nana and Sanjay Gupta are separated from their respective wives for a long time now and both are often seen admitting to missing their presence in their lives and being emotionally dependant on them. The film is based on the love, life and loss theme, which both of them found identical to their personal life stories and this made them very emotional."
Nana Patekar agreed to such an incident taking place but refused to comment more about it citing, "It is too personal a thing to talk about." Nana though estranged from his wife Neelkanti has not yet divorced her but continues to stay separately for more than a decade and a half now. Recently, he even produced a Marathi film for her directorial debut, which was premiered at the MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai in March.
Sanjay Gupta's wife Anu continues to remain friends with him despite their separation and even paid him a surprise visit at his birthday party at the Marriott on April 14 th. Gupta has now decided to dedicate Gubbare to Anu.
There was another incident in connection to Gubbare which made Nana emotional. He was presented with a golden watch by the Gubbare makers when they learnt Nana had donated his entire acting fee for the film to three of his favourite NGOs. On receiving his gift, Nana was overwhelmed.

Suneil Shetty's emotional break down
While shooting an emotional scene with Sanjay Dutt for Sanjay Gupta's Rise and Fall, Suniel Shetty burst into tears. Rise and Fall is also part of the 10 stories episodic film Dus Kahaniyan produced under Dutt's banner, White Feather Productions. While shooting for the climax sequence of Rise and Fall, a crucial scene was being shot between Dutt, who plays a mafia boss and Suneil who plays his right hand man. The scene required the Munna Bhai star to speak about friendship and brotherhood to Shetty. As Dutt was delivering his lines, Suniel spontaneously reacted with real tears in his eyes which had all the onlookers surprised, seeing the tough guy sobbing.
Suniel who has been very close to Dutt for many years now and has always stood by him during his turbulent times could identify with everything that was said in the dialogues by Dutt which resulted in his tears.
