Manoj Tyagi Scriptwriter of Page-3 makes his directorial debut with Mumbai Salsa

Manoj Tyagi, who has written for the films Page 3, Corporate and Apaharan, is now making his directorial debut with Mumbai Salsa. It was announced that the film is to be made in collaboration with ASA and Vikram Bhatt's production company.

Talking about his movie which features new faces from the industry, Manoj says, "The film is a story about the relationships between people. The script is based on people finding love. They are normal people like us so my script had no demand for big stars. If I have a script that demands it then I would like to work with them too."

Manoj goes on to say that this film will not carry a social message but "it showcases real life relationships, sharing with each other or with someone special. Just like a change in the tempo of disco music causes dancers to change their steps, the same way my film focuses on how films change due to circumstance."

Manoj always wanted to direct but he started off writing as "what a director portrays is what is written on paper or what you feel."

Elaborating on the contract with ASA, the writer turned director says, "As per the contract, the company is going to promote the new director, writers and new comers in any zone of the film. They plan to finance low budget films and are going to invest 100 crores into creating meaningful cinema."

Television star Indraneil of 'Pyaar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shyam' stars in Mumbai Salsa. His girlfriend Barka Bisht was there to support him at the announcement.
