Tabassum's granddaughter Khushi to enter Bollywood
Actress cum chat show hostess cum writer Tabassum's 20-year-old granddaughter Khushi is all set to make her debut in films with Hum Phir Mile Na Mila.
The basement of a suburban cinema hall had been converted into a glitzy dance hall. Dancing to choreographer Baba Yadav's instructions was Sarvar, who played the lead in Khanna Vs Iyer and a pretty young girl, who is Tabassum's granddaughter. What a pleasant surprise!
Nobody was aware that Khushi had entered this line. "We have kept everything low keyed. I have learnt acting from the Namit Kishore Kapoor acting school. I love dancing and now I am learning the Salsa. Having being exposed to the industry as a child, I always wanted to be an actress," says Khushi.
Speaking more about herself, she says, "I am a BCom graduate. I have also done a designing course from SNDT and made a lot of my personal clothes. My younger sister Khubi wants to be a director. She is completing her studies, and then maybe she will join Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods for her training."
And what does your grandmother have to say? "Oh she (Tabassum) is very happy. She has come on my sets and seen me shoot. The first day she came, she had tears in her eyes."
Khushi has received a few offers, but has not signed any of them as yet. She has also been offered a couple of South Indian films, which she is thinking about. "The films are good and the roles offered are interesting."
Another third generation of actors continue their dynasty in films. First Tabassum, then her son Hoshang, who made his debut in 1985 with Tum Par Hum Qurban but did not succeed as an actor, and now Khushi.
Besides being Khushi's debut film, Hum Phir Mile Na Mila will also be the first time for its director Manish Goyal and Rajesh Gupta the producer.
