Abhishek cannot match up to Amitabh's moves
Abhishek Bachchan may have been able to play Amitabh Bachchan's role in Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkar but when it comes to dancing, Bachchan Jr. has trouble following his father's footsteps.
Choreographer Bosco Caesar, who has worked with both the Bachchans says, "Abhishek Bachchan cannot dance like Amitabh. While Abhishek is more of a hip hop dancer, Big B is fully filmy. Amitabh is very competitive and can still dance like any other young actor."
Amitabh, who is in his 60s, is still very much in demand. He is seen shaking his hips with several young actresses onscreen and his most recent film, Cheeni Kum, sees him romancing Tabu.
Bosco has choreographed three songs for Cheeni Kum. He had to work with Bachchan Sr. on a six day schedule in London. According to Bosco, Amitabh has several qualities that make him a good dancer. "He is a very punctual actor. He is always on time on the sets. We shot for six days and never saw him late even once on the sets. Even though Amitabh has crossed his sixties he is so energetic. We would feel tired sometimes and Big B would be busy tapping his feet to the music."
Cheeni Kum sees Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a chef. He plays a 64 year old man by the name of Buddhadev who owns one of London's top Indian restaurants. Buddhadev lives with his 85 year old mother. His only friend is his 9 year old neighbour and his only passion is cooking. That is, until the 34 year old Nina Verma (Tabu) walks into his restaurant. They fall in love and decide to get married despite their huge age difference. The plot gets stranger when Buddhadev respectfully goes to ask Nina's father for her hand in marriage but 58 year old Mr. Omprakash Verma is 6 years younger to Buddhadev.
